Battery Specifications:

 

OceanTech Yachts required a custom battery solution meeting the following specifications:

 

  • Dimension: Modular design with individual units not exceeding 1000mm x 600mm x 400mm
  • Weight: Maximum of 450 kg per module to optimize vessel weight distribution
  • Voltage: 800V nominal for high-efficiency propulsion systems
  • Capacity: Minimum 250 kWh total system capacity, with scalability up to 1 MWh
  • Discharge Rating: Continuous discharge rate of 3C, with peak capability of 5C for 2 minutes to handle rapid acceleration
  • Chemistry: NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) for high energy density and long cycle life
  • BMS (Battery Management System):Advanced cell balancing with individual cell monitoring
    • Integrated thermal management system for optimal performance in varying climates
    • Real-time data transmission to the yacht’s central management system
    • Predictive maintenance capabilities and remote diagnostics
  • Certifications: DNV-GL, IEC 62619, IP67 rating for marine environments
